Will Kurtz‘s paper sculptures bring ordinary New Yorkers to life. His show Extra Fucking Ordinary consists of life size figural sculptures constructed of collaged torn sheets of newspaper, wood, wire, screws, tape and everyday objects which depict the characters captured by Kurtz’s iPhone camera lens. Utilizing the observing eye of a curious urban voyeur, Kurtz spends large portions of his days combing the streets of New York for his subjects, which are later transformed into sincere and amusing life-size sculptures.

Incredible illustrations by Minjae Lee

Lee uses markers, pens, crayons and acrylic to create the drawings, featuring women and characterized by an atmosphere of mystery and drama.

Looking at his work, you can understand how Lee is inspired by Japanese photographer Hiroshi Nonami, whose work mainly features women in mythical and magical atmospheres.

so these are the 3D glasses i have been making to view all of these new drawings i am making with. the drawings are not really 3D but the colors i am using do a lot of really interesting things when you look at them through these. i also get to look at the viewer looking real silly with these on. it’s a win win if you ask me.

holy shit
